Xan Fredericks works for the USGS National Geospatial Program as the Emergency Response Coordinator and is Chair of the USGS Geospatial Information Response Team, facilitating the effective coordination, communication, and dissemination of geospatial data and information during disaster events. Prior to her current role, Xan served as the National Map Liaison to Florida, Georgia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands for the USGS NGP User Engagement Office during which time she used her expertise on National Map products and services to engage with users and stakeholders in all 50 states and U.S. territories. Before joining NGP, she was the Lidar Coordinator for the USGS Coastal and Marine Hazards and Resources Program for five years.
