About
Liz Chamberlain is Deputy Executive Director of the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT), a global nonprofit that uses open mapping to support disaster response, resilience, and development in more than 70 countries. She leads HOT's central operations, building the systems and culture that ensure HOT's regional mapping hubs can most successfully lift up community voices through data. Liz is currently helping guide the organization's pivot from grant-funded implementation toward a sustainable marketplace and earned-revenue model. Before HOT, she was Impact Director at Lwala Community Alliance in western Kenya and held roles supporting international development and research work at the World Bank and several international nonprofits.
