About
Sami is the Co-Founder and CEO of Living Signals, a risk intelligence platform that leverages AI to monitor evolving peace and security conditions. Prior to this, she spent four years as a Geospatial Consultant for the United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (UN DPPA), where she developed early warning systems and climate security dashboards for UN entities. This led her to pursue a Master's in Anthropocene Studies at the University of Cambridge, where she conducted field research in Cameroon ground-truthing the very earth observation and conflict datasets she relied on as a practitioner. These experiences gave her an intimate understanding of data visibility gaps and their consequences for decision-making. She created Living Signals to systematically address these gaps, ensuring what analysts see maps onto local realities.
