About
Matt Hallas is the Geospatial Practice Manager at DevGlobal Partners. Matt has followed his passion of working with satellite data to better understand our changing planet for the last fifteen years. Using a foundation of remote sensing and GIS expertise, Matt has supported global health and sustainable development projects related to Neglected Tropical Diseases, AI-based advisory services for small holder farmers in Africa and Southeast Asia, conservation finance and human/wildlife conflict reduction across Africa, and geospatial strategy for some of the world’s leading donors and intergovernmental agencies. Tools and data are truly impactful when the right communities are connected and actively involved in the application of remote sensing-derived insights, and Matt works to forge strong partnerships across diverse user groups including social scientists, earth observation experts, humanitarians and implementers. When not working in the Geo for Good space, Matt loves exploring the beautiful mountains of Colorado, golfing and seeing music with friends and family.
