Maggie Cawley serves as the Executive Director of OpenStreetMap US, the nonprofit advancing the growth, sustainability, and public impact of OpenStreetMap nationwide. In her role, Maggie brings a community-centered approach to organizational leadership, recognizing that the value of an open map depends not only on the data itself, but also on the people, relationships, and shared practices that sustain it. She advocates for investment in community-led mapping and open data infrastructure to create more inclusive and innovative solutions for all, and works to build partnerships and drive initiatives that make mapping more accessible and impactful. Maggie also serves as the Chair of the National Geospatial Advisory Committee, where she works to foster the collaboration and innovation that is critical in shaping U.S. geospatial policy.
