Cassie Lee is Vice President of Business Development at Star Catcher, where she leads the company's growth team in accelerating the deployment of the world's first orbital energy grid.
Prior to this role, Cassie founded and led several programs at the intersection of technology and social impact, including Space Programs for Paul G. Allen's Vulcan, Climate Intelligence for Lockheed Martin, Sound Future Foundation, and Innovation for the Open Geospatial Consortium. She began her career as a propulsion engineer at NASA before joining SpaceX and later Sierra Nevada Corporation, where she was one of the first ten engineers on the Dream Chaser program. A recognized champion for the next generation of aerospace leaders, Cassie is a co-founder of the award-winning Brooke Owens Fellowship, a pioneering institution advancing women and gender minorities across the aerospace industry. She is a founding member of the United Nations Space4Women initiative and continues to serve on advisory boards across technology, impact, art, and entertainment.
Cassie was named a Top 25 Most Powerful Woman in Business by the Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce and an Honored Alumna of the University of Iowa.
