Julia Wagemann is co-founder of thriveGEO, a company that empowers organisations to use geospatial and Earth Observation data. She is also co-founder and director of Women+ in Geospatial, a global professional network dedicated to building a diverse and gender-equal geospatial industry. Julia has more than ten years experience working in the European Earth observation sector, helping users to better use data from satellites and weather models, as independent consultant, but also as data analyst at the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts and the European Space Agency. Julia holds a PhD from the University of Marburg, where she analysed users of Earth Observation data and their training needs.
