Researcher at Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera.

About

Emanuel Dutra is researcher in the Portuguese weather service (IPMA) with expertise in the representation of land surface processes in numerical weather prediction models and in earth observations. He has a PhD from Lisbon University in the representation of cold (snow) processes in weather and climate models. He was a researcher at the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts between 2011 and 2016, and at the faculty of sciences of Lisbon University between 2017 and 2020. He is currently responsible for coordinating the operational production and software development of the EUMETSAT Satellite Applications Facility on Land Surface Analysis (LSA SAF) hosted at IPMA.
